Here are some voices from ACE charity runners who run Tokyo Marathon in the past.

Great experience! It feels great to give back!!
I would definitely recommend running through a charity. From picking up my pink bib to using the changing area at the end and encountering the many wonderful, helpful and appreciative people in between really enhanced my race day experience.
I felt impress when first met ACE at Expo. Yes I will tell my friend.
Overall happy with the experience. I had an injury and hard run but managed to complete. I would love to run injury free so I can enjoy more and I would use charity option again next time.

Here are our charity ambassadors who promote
Tokyo Marathon 2024 Charity with ACE!

Shogo Matsugaki

President/Coach of MATSURUN
Coach/Running Companion of Japan para-athletes representatives

After working as a runner at work team in NTT West Japan, I have been working as a running trainer and supporting Japanese representative of blind runners as a guide runner.  I will be supporting as a charity ambassador of ACE through Tokyo Marathon 2024 Charity. I would like to convey the joy of running and look for the future of children in the world.

Piyush Gudka

ACA (Chartered Certified Accountant )
6 Star Finisher
100+ Marathon Runner

My marathon dream started with London Marathon. Crossing the finish line the first thought was “been there, done it, never again”. Despite this, I was on a high like never in my life. I started inspiring, motivating and training people for distance running and history has it I have trained over 225 people and completed 100+ marathons and ultras.

One of the best parts of marathon running I like is the fundraising by runners for very worthy causes and they don’t come any worthier than ACE to abolish child exploitation. ACE strives for a world without child labour and provides direct support to children and families who are engaged in child labour in India and Ghana.

Hideyuki Tanaka

Floral Designer/
President of AFRIKA ROSE

As I did in 2029, I will once again take on the challenge that is the Tokyo Marathon. I hope that this encourages others to declare their own challenges. I also hope that through the Tokyo Marathon 2024 Charity, there will be even just one more person who is aware of the work that ACE does, and contribute to the actions that will bring about a smile on the faces of children in the future.

He successfully toured Asia, Europe, and Australia, but had his attempt to cross the United States interrupted by the COVID pandemic.

This led him to temporarily return to Japan where he traversed 3,000 km, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, promoting awareness and community revitalization in each city, town, and village along the way. When the world had sufficiently recovered from the global pandemic, he was eventually able to resume his American tour, and on February 17, 2023, he finally completed his 5,000 km crossing of the continental United States. His past present and future adventures are being broadcast on TikTok and YouTube.
